HIGH DEFINITION GOLF™ LAUNCHES “PROFESSIONAL STUDIO” AT 2008 PGA SHOW
Industry’s most realistic simulator evolves into a completely integrated coaching and club-fitting studio
ORLANDO – As indoor golf simulators continue to grow in popularity for green grass facilities, off-course retailers and individual consumers, a new company has quickly made a name for itself by producing the most realistic and versatile simulator on the market. Interactive Sports Technologies (IST) unveiled the High Definition Golf™ simulator at last year’s PGA Merchandise Show, and plans to build on its success at this year’s show in Orlando, Fla.

The system utilizes IST High Speed Spectrum Sensor technology™ which has set a new industry standard for indoor ball flight accuracy. Revolutionary image processing software creates a true 3D model of the entire golf course that not only looks real, but is completely accurate.
Modules for the Professional Studio include Swing Capture and Analysis (dual high speed color cameras with auto-trigger, drawing tools, swing library), Internet (live audio & video) IST (indoors only) or Trackman (indoor/outdoor) professional grade launch monitors, IST force plate to measure weight shift dynamics and Jim McLean Coaching™.
The Internet module connects simulator bays for live competition or with their favorite instructors for remote lessons. Audio, PIP video and swing data travels live via the Internet. The instructor even has remote control of the dual video cameras and swing analysis tools.
The Studio is the industry’s first simulator utilizing accurate IST high speed spectrum sensor technology and integrating all these functions within a single computer. Complete data measurements and video of player motion, club position as well as ball launch and flight are collected at high resolution, organized and projected in high definition. Perhaps most importantly, the complete system is operated through a single workstation with convenient touch screen and a push button menu interface that’s as simple as an ATM.
